“Gifts from the camera” was born out of 15 years of photographing the British countryside. This land has so much beauty, there's never a need to go abroad.
The only problem with a lot of the images I captured was the modern world. Take a typical English cottage scene add a few parked cars, telegraph poles, TV aerials or a burglar alarm and the whole image is ruined.
Luckily, up to now I've worked in the electronics world and with computers from the early eighties. Having a digital camera I always ended up photographing the products I designed and prepared leaflets, catalogues and web pages for them. This involved huge amount of digital editing and on numerous occasions producing photographs of products that never existed.
So putting the two skills together I've now got a collection of images "better that reality".
